Newsletter ~ October 2007
Newsletter time again. Man, that month passed quickly. It's OctOgre (as Piers Anthony calls it) already, and it's my favorite month of the year. It's also a gorgeous time of year in Appalachia.
Before I get into MY news, I have a couple public service announcements from my publisher, Phaze:
1: Some customers--especially those using Yahoo!Mail--are reporting they haven't received their email confirmations. Phaze asks that all customers check their SPAM/Bulk folders for the missing messages. Receipts originate from Phaze's parent company, Mundania.
2: Phaze is conducting an erotic romance reader survey. Those who complete the survey will be given a free ebook from the Phaze catalog as well as being entered in a drawing to win 3 Phaze paperbacks. So, browse the Phaze site, pick a title that appeals to you, then complete the survey. It runs 'til November 1st.

In print this time! Coming Together: For the Cure from Phaze (which I edited). It's a collection of diverse erotic fiction by an incredible group of authors, and all proceeds from its sale benefit Susan B. Komen for the cure. My story "Butterfly" is included, as well as stories by Jolie du Pré, Jeremy Edwards, Selena Kitt, Laurence Doyen, Harley Stone, Amelia June, Kis Lee, Sommer Marsden, Savannah Reardon, James Buchanan, G.C. Rider, Lisabet Sarai, Kelly Maher, Sammie Jo Moresca, Tomas Ohand, Vincent Diamond, Kate Burns, Robert Buckley, and Carys Weldon. It's a kick-ass anthology, if I do say so myself. (I just entered it into the EPPIE award competition.)
We have the lovely & talented ladies from ScrapFairy Designs to thank for donating a BookPeek video, and All Romance eBooks for featuring the title on its site and for donating its commissions on the sale of this title through the rest of the year. (Check out ARe's September 28 issue of its Wildfire newsletter for a special interview with a few of For the Cure's authors, too!)
Coming Together: For the Cure (in ebook or print) would make a great gift for every adult reader on your shopping list. It's erotic altruism!

Double Header, part one of our new series featuring an unapologetically sexual protagonist, was released on October 8th. (Part two, entitled Spring Training, will be released in late March 2008.)
Check out an excerpt on the Artistically Inclined blog (my & Will's collaborative site), then pick up this spicy new $5 e-novella (ISBN 978-1-59426-772-7) from Phaze, FictionWise, or All Romance eBooks. And please do drop me a note at alessia [at] eroticanthology [dot] com & let me know what you thought of it!

This is the compilation of the first three ebooks in the Erotique series (Erotique, Switch, and Amichu) plus a never-before-published novella, Closing Arguments (which is longer than the first three combined).
It's still a rush to see a new title appear on Amazon. I can't wait 'til Mobipocket gets its ebook catalog imported so all of my titles will be available through the Internet's largest bookseller.
Interviews & Appearances [TOP]
In early October, Will and I participated in a Paranormal Writing Duo chat on the Joyfully Reviewed Yahoo!Group to promote ArtiFactual. The introductory interview is posted on our blog for your reading pleasure.
Also ongoing, a fundraising event to accompany the print release of Coming Together: For the Cure. Throughout the month of October, dress your site and/or blog in PINK in support and join the Coming Together team by making a donation in any dollar amount. Just click on the graphic to go to the team page.
Just a couple more weeks until I jet off to Southern California for the annual La Jolla Writers Conference. I learned a great deal at last year's conference, and I have high expectations of this year's!

On the promo blog, check out my Amazon review contest. Simply by leaving a review on one of my Amazon.com titles, you will have a 1-in-10 chance of winning a $10 gift certificate. Them's way better'n lottery odds, and the books are a lot more fun to read (and re-read) than old lottery tickets.

"Littered with lines from the song The Time Warp, which, I might
add, lends an incredibly creepy/Alex is whacko feel to the whole story, I
could NOT put this book down." ~ Cocktail Reviews
"Sometimes, in our fantasies at least, revenge burns hotter than love ever
did." ~ Coffee Time Romance
